Video Jug: How To Take An HIV Clinic Test

AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s (AHF) Public Health Division offers mobile HIV testing and counseling services, non-traditional venue HIV and STD testing at AHF’s Out of the Closet® Thrift Stores, Men’s Wellness Center, Bay Area outreach programs targeting high-risk populations and in Los Angeles County Jails.

Tests are performed by certified testing counselors, using two different types of HIV tests:

 

1. Clearview COMPLETE HIV 1-2 is a single-use, self contained, closed system for the collection, processing and analysis of a whole blood, serum or plasma sample for the detection of HIV 1 and HIV 2 antibodies in as little as 15 minutes.
2. OraQuick ADVANCE® Provides results in 20 minutes, enabling patients to learn their status in a single visit and allows HIV positive patients to be connected to care immediately. This test is also approved for oral fluid, plasma, finger stick or venipuncture whole blood specimens.

Both tests are 99.9% accurate.
